Faculty of Medicine

Hello, my name is Batuhan and I am a 2nd year student in Ufuk University, Faculty of Medicine. Today I am here to give some brief information on the Faculty of Medicine. Ufuk University Faculty of Medicine was founded on Balgat Campus in 2002, under the leadership of our esteemed teacher, Prof. Dr. Rıdvan Ege. The application of preclinical courses of the Faculty of Medicine are supported by laboratories such as Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology. In addition, we have a central research laboratory which is we are inside in it now. Students can also contribute to scientific research together with the academics. There is clinical internship training in the fourth and fifth grades of the faculty. In this training, we undertake theoretical and patient-based practice. In the sixth grade, we complete our internship training at the Dr. Rıdvan Ege Hospital. We can work as a general practitioner when we graduate from the faculty and can also choose an area for specialization, by taking the Specialty Examination in Medicine. I have wanted to be a doctor since I was a childeven my specialization area is determined. I am lucky I can realize my dream. Like every high school student, I took the exam after my high school education and I made a choice based on the result I took in this exam. Of course, there were certain factors that I considered while making my choice. First of all, I wanted my university to be in a big city; for this reason I chose Ankara, of course, the place I live. Why did I choose Ankara? Because it is at the heart of medical training as well as being the capital a center for the training of the best doctors in Turkey. There are also many medical faculties in Ankara. Apart from the education we receive at our university, we are able to contribute to our education by collaborating with colleagues from other medical faculties. When thinking of why I chose Ufuk University, the qualified academic staff at the university and the fact that our faculty is in a central location were important factors in this regard. During my time at our faculty, I have benefited from qualified education of experienced academic staff and one-to-one communication with them. After graduation I would like to advance in a surgical field and my endeavours will be directed towards this. My main suggestion to those student friends choosing this university is to make abundant research in the selection period, to research universities over and over and to evaluate their academic staff carefully. Ufuk University has proven itself in the field of health.
