Associate Program of Equine Studies

Hello, I am Fahrettin Çakır, I am a second grade student at Associate Program of Equine Studies at Cappadocia University. Our program provides education on two word-wide disciplines. So, it means show jumping, classical equestrianism and flat racing. Generally, we take courses such as Equestrianism Training, House Care, Barn Services, Hardware Equipment, Veterinary, Orthopedics and Anatomy. We do our internship at the end of the second grade. That is because it is aimed to be a more useful internship after we obtain the necessary and enough information in first and second years. Therefore, we do it at the end of the second grade. Our classes are conducted in two places; firs one is our closed paddock and the other one is our classrooms. Our Equestrianism course and Training course is conducted as applied in our closed paddock and our courses like Hardware and Equipment are conducted in our classrooms. After graduating this program, we can be a trainer at hippodromes according to the needs of the sector. We can also be club horse-rider. I have seen that once a person come across with horses, that person cannot break up with horses. Although I have studied at other programs in our other universities, I’ve met with horses and couldn’t break my connection with them. I’ve preferred the Associate Program of Equine Studies at Cappadocia University. I’ve done some research about Cappadocia University, I’ve gone into their website and seen that they have experienced academic staff. The staff was the crucial point to me, so I’ve preferred here. After classes, when there is no education, if we lack equestrianism training, our professors make contributions to our equestrianism training at certain times of the day with using their initiative or if we lack another thing, they do the same for this lacking. Our professors give lectures and education eagerly. My goal after graduation is fist to improve myself in the field and then to concentrate upon flat racing. After doing the necessary internships, I want to work as a club horse-rider for a while and then to be a flat racer, permanently. Cappadocia, as the name implies, means the land of beautiful horses. The University has experienced academic staff. I’ve studied at three universities, so this is my third university. It is a social university, an active university and if you ask me which one is the best among the three universities, I would say Cappadocia University. I want you to get benefits of these opportunities. Make research on Cappadocia, come and see here, its doors are always open to everyone and it has a beautiful nature.
