Electrical Electronic Engineering

Hello everyone, I'm Yasin Yıldırım. I am a 3rd year student at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, where our department is located, is situated on our main campus, the Taşlıçiftlik Campus. Our department was established to train successful, qualified, and research-oriented engineers. In our department, we take basic courses such as Electrical Machines, Power Electronics and Analog Communication. We take basic engineering and introductory courses in 1st and 2nd years. In the 3rd and 4th grades, we choose courses according to our interests and abilities. We take laboratory courses in order to consolidate and put into practice the theoretical knowledge we have learned in the course. There are 4 classrooms and 4 laboratories with adequate equipment in our department. Within the scope of internship projects, at the end of the 2nd and 3rd grades, we have to do 2 compulsory internships each for 20 working days making up a total of 40 working days. In graduation projects, at the end of the 4th grade, we prepare a graduation project covering the courses we have studied for 4 years and we graduate. Students graduating from this department have job opportunities in 2 different fields of electronics. These are fields such as R&D (Research and Development), automation, cyber security and software, defense industry. Our age is the age of technology, and electrical-electronic engineers are one of the professions that will take a role in this age and actually do something. I chose this department because of the high employment rates and my own interests and skills. While doing research during the university enrollment period, I learned that Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University has a successful academic staff and has many social facilities. Also, because it is my hometown, I chose Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University. After graduation, I want to work in the defense industry and automation. I also want to continue my academic career.
