Faculty of Islamic Sciences
I'm Associate Professor Behlül Düzenli. I was born in Erzurum. I completed my undergraduate education at El-Ezher University in Egypt. I completed my master's degree at Marmara University and my PhD at Selçuk University. I served as an imam orator in the Directorate of Religious Affairs for 20 years. I worked at Istanbul Laleli Mosque for 13 years. Finally, I continue my duties at Yalova University. Our faculty is a faculty that provides 100% Arabic and 100% Turkish education. The courses of the 100% Arabic department and the 100% Turkish department are almost identical. In the Arabic department, our courses are provided entirely in Arabic. Basic training is given in our preparatory class, and in other later classes, we give lessons under the supervision of our Arab teachers who have completed their Doctorate in Arab countries and esteemed teachers who have worked in important positions in Turkey. We have the departments of Fundamental Islamic Sciences, Philosophy, Religious Sciences, Islamic History and Arts. Basic religious courses such as Interpretation, Hadith, Fiqh, Kelam, Sufism in the Department of Fundamental Islamic Sciences; History of Religions, History of Philosophy in Philosophy and Religious Sciences. In the Department of Islamic Arts, we offer courses such as Music, Crafts and Calligraphy. Our faculty building has just been opened. Since it has just been opened, the units are newly formed. As of now, our teachers offer workshops of calligraphy and music. Workshops on marbling and other handicrafts will be opened. Again, we will have a special workshop for reading and interpretation. We have the opportunity to open a workshop in every field that our students desire. These units are created in line with the demands of our students. Our graduates can find employment in the Directorate of Religious Affairs, MEB (Ministry of National Education) and universities. For this reason, they can do their internships in schools affiliated with MEB before graduating. Our university and faculty have protocols with many universities within the framework of the Mevlana Exchange Program. According to the need and demand, our students continue their language education abroad within the framework of this program. They are sent to Arabic-speaking countries to further improve speech, listening and understanding. We organized 2 international symposiums. One was a symposium in the field of international mosque and religious services in cooperation with YECDER in Istanbul.
First of all, our students learn how to read, understand, talk and even write in Arabic, thanks to 100% Arabic education. They can work as teachers in the Directorate of Religious Affairs, as imam orators, muezzins, muftis, and as teachers in MEB (Ministry of National Education) and academicians in universities. Thanks to their Arabic language skills, they can also work very easily as Arabic interpreters in various institutions and units, including TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Corporation) in various government departments of our country. I would like to express to the candidates who will choose the 100% Arabic education department to not be scared of the fact that it is 100% in Arabic. Because there are students who come to our faculty from regular high schools who have just learned about the Quran and the Arabic alphabet. A very high quality education is provided in our preparatory class. They can adapt to school and classes within a year. In the following years, we provide courses and supplementary courses with our teachers to our students who have difficulty in Arabic lessons on a voluntary basis. We complete the shortcomings of Arabic lessons by supplementing them with extra courses. Therefore, if there is something that they do not understand, we help them as much as possible. First of all, Yalova is one of the best provinces of the Marmara Region. Because bursa is an hour's distance on one side, Kocaeli is an hour's distance on one side and Istanbul is one and a half hours away. Therefore, a student who comes to Yalova can benefit from all the facilities of Istanbul, Kocaeli and Bursa. KYK (Higher Education Credit and Dormitories Institution) facility has very large dormitory facilities right next door. The girls' dormitory building is complete. The construction of the boy's dormitory building continues. Therefore, when they come to Yalova, they will not have any difficulties finding a dormitory or house. In addition, there are companies that provide daily transfer services from Gebze, Kocaeli and even from Bursa. We have students who come here on a daily basis and go back to Gebze, Istanbul, Kocaeli, Bursa. It’s a great university which has many benefits, such as the easy commute. If they want to relax, receive an education, take advantage of Turkey's opportunities, they can do it here. We welcome all students who want to pursue a future academic career and students who want to educate themselves in Islamic sciences. We wish you all good luck.
