Anesthesia Program

Hello, my name is Güler Önder. I am the Head of the Anesthesia Program at Istanbul Esenyurt University's Vocational School of Health Services. Our curriculum consists of a 2-year associate degree program with 4 semesters in total.
Anesthesia technician is the title given to program graduates. The anesthesia program's content includes preparing the patient for anesthesia, preparing the drugs and materials to be used during anesthesia, taking all necessary precautions against anesthesia-related complications, preparing all necessary materials, applying the proper anesthesia technique to the patient, controlling the patient's vital functions while the patient is under anesthesia, and recording those vital functions. It involves putting the patient to sleep, ending the anesthesia, and continuing to watch the patient until all of their vital signs have returned to normal. In addition to the required courses that all students must take, our program also offers foundational courses in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology that are related to health services. We offer classes in subjects like fundamental anesthesia, clinical anesthesia, device equipment, and anesthesia pharmacology. We provide both theoretical and practical courses. Additionally, our students can select elective courses based on their interests.
Hello, my name is Onat ALAT. I am a second-year student in the Anesthesia Program at Istanbul Esenyurt University's Health Services Vocational School. I decided to enroll in the anesthesia program after consulting with my doctor, who had operated on me as a child. Istanbul Esenyurt University was my first choice because I believed it would be a good fit for me and was located in a beautiful setting. While studying, I benefit from the knowledge and experience of the Anesthesia Program's capable academic staff. I also use the library, which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week during the visa and final periods. After completing the anesthesia program, I plan to work in either public or private hospitals. Although the anesthesia program may seem challenging, you will realize that it is not that crucial thanks to our academic staff and internship opportunities. I also recommend that you take advantage of our university's attractions and good location. All of the students who will take the university exam have my best wishes.
