Industrial Engineering

Hello, I'm Berke Üçülçüm. I am a 2nd year student of Industrial Engineering at Pamukkale University. Our department is located in Pamukkale University’s Kınıklı campus. To briefly introduce our department, it is an engineering branch that tries to provide maximum efficiency within the limited possibilities in an organization. The most important feature that distinguishes it from other engineering branches is that it is based on human factors. There are many elective courses offered in our department such as production, production planning, supply chain management, information technologies and human resources. Apart from basic engineering courses, students can direct their careers by choosing among these courses. We have computer laboratories in our department. Programming-oriented courses are given in these laboratories. There are two compulsory internships in our department. The first of these is a short-term summer internship that lasts for 30 days in the summer term of the 3rd year. The other one takes place during the second semester of the 4th grade. Our graduation project consists of an undergraduate thesis that the students present to our professors in our department by conducting research in a field they choose. Graduates of our department can work in many fields such as production, production planning, supply chain management, information technologies, marketing and sales, and human resources. During my high school years, I developed many projects and had the chance to take part in many projects. I participated in many competitions organized by Teknofest and Tübitak and received awards. I gained a lot of experience because of these. I developed myself both technically and socially. During my university selection period, I also wanted to improve my leadership abilities. That's why I chose the department of Industrial Engineering. Our department offers many opportunities. I chose this university because of its well-established teaching staff. After graduation, I want to pursue a master's degree, establish a company in the field of aviation and remote industry, and improve myself in the field of project management by being involved in existing international companies as an industrial engineer. I advise candidates who will prefer our department to be confident in their preferences. Also, they should have strong communication and advanced problem-solving skills.
