Teaching English

Hello, I'm Nisanur Kılıç. I am a 1st year student at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, Department of English Language Teaching. English is an international language. Our department was established to train students in Turkey to express themselves well in the international arena and to train qualified teachers. Our department offers many different courses such as Language Skills, Linguistics, Translation, Drama and Second Language Acquisition. Our department has a computer lab for informatics courses, and also a language lab for language education. Within the scope of internship practices in our department, final year students are given 2 semesters of internship training in schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. After graduation, we can work as an English teacher in institutions affiliated with the Ministry of National Education or in course and study centers. I chose this department because of the opportunities it can provide me in national and international market. When I was choosing a university, I researched many universities and as a result of my research, I found out about this place, which was great. After graduation, I aim to teach English abroad or in Turkey and continue my studies in a postgraduate program. I recommend the students who will come to our department to improve their vocabulary, and also to participate in social activities to improve their skills.
