Painting

Hello, I'm Demet Günışık. I am a 4rd grade student at Inonu University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Painting. Our department was founded in 2005 to contribute to the culture of the country and the world through art. Undergraduate, master's and proficiency in art education are offered in the Department of Painting located on the central campus of Inonu University. In our department, we have practical courses such as Art History, History of Civilization, Mythology, Ancient Turkish Art, Contemporary Turkish Plastic Arts, Art Works Analysis, Art Ontology, Art Sociology, Museum Education, Vocational English, Basic Art Education, Artistic Perspective, Pattern Workshop, Painting Workshop, Original Printing. In addition, 5 theoretical and applied elective courses are offered to the students in each semester. In addition to theoretical classrooms, there are 1 Basic Art Perspective, 1 Original print, 1 Stained Glass, 1 sculpture, 1 elective art workshops that students can use. In addition, there are 3 painting workshops, 1 master's degree and 1 proficiency workshop belonging to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades. Students organize various exhibitions, projects and activities in cooperation with the professors. 4th grade students who will graduate from our department and graduate students exhibit their original paintings in the end of year graduation exhibition. The graduates of our department can work as academicians in the Faculty of Fine Arts if they are qualified, teachers in private or public schools if pedagogical formation is taken, and as art instructors in different institutions in the private sector. In addition, our graduate students have the opportunity to open their own workshops and train students. I've always had an interest in art since I was a kid. With the guidance of my teachers, I turned to plastic arts. It's nice to be interested in art, to be in it all the time. I like to paint. I think that understanding art is understanding one another. For all these reasons, I chose this department. The reason I chose Inonu University to study painting was because I thought I could get a qualified education. Well-equipped academic staff, the facilities offered within the department, campus facilities and social facilities offered by Inonu University to students played a big role in my choosing of this university. As a character trait, I like to continuously improve myself. While I'I have the chance, I'd like to pursue postgraduate master's degree to improve myself. I want to raise generations who love art, see things beautifully, think well. I recommend the Department of Painting of Inonu University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design with peace of mind to idealistic candidates who will prefer the Department of Painting and want to progress professionally in this field.
