Exercise and Sports Sciences

Hello, my name is Furkan Çağlar. I am a 3rd year student at the University of Health Sciences, Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences. The Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences trains qualified exercise and sports experts who can evaluate and analyze the physical fitness, performance and condition characteristics of individuals and examine the physiological, psychological and sociological fields of sports. The Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences is located in Selimiye Complex. In the Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences, Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, Individual and Team Sports courses and Sports Psychology courses are given. We have 1 indoor sports hall, 1 outdoor sports field and 1 football field reserved for the students of the Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences. We have our applied courses in these areas and we can also use them in our spare time. In our department, we have an internship obligation in the fall and spring semesters, in the 4th grade. We carry out this internship at the relevant institutions and organizations in the 4th grade, 6 hours a week. The job opportunities of the students who graduated from the Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences are quite wide. Graduates can work as sports specialists in sports-related departments in the private and public sectors. In addition, they can work as trainers in youth and sports provincial directorates. I chose the Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences because I think it is the most appropriate department for my future planning in my sports life. I chose the University of Health Sciences because it is the largest health university in the world and to study with the best professors in Turkey. I want to advance in the field of sports, where I will be an expert after graduation, and to improve their knowledge about encouraging the next generation to live a healthy life by encouraging sports activities. Our university attaches great importance to its students. It offers every student a good education for their future. Also, our university consists of a historical structure. We have sports complexes. Our student clubs actively organize events. I recommend you to take advantage of all the opportunities when you come to our university. This will benefit your own development.
