Associate Program of Audiometry

Hello everyone my name is Mehmet Bal. I’m a second-year student in the Cappadocia University's Vocational College. I am in the Associate Program of Audiometry. Audiometry, loss hearing, and loss of balance can be diagnosed, treated and rehabilitated by making and taking the necessary medical tests. The courses we generally take are; Audiometry Practices, Physiology, Anatomy, Loss of and Hearing. We have been lucky in this area as the Audiometry Program is located directly here on campus at the University of Cappadocia. Why? Compared to other universities, we have our own private training lab. We have a great advantage in our practice for this field. We will work in clinics in the future. We also have laboratory lessons in our individual workshops under the direction of our instructors. The Audiometry Program has two laboratories. We do our audiometry tests in these laboratories. These include things in Audiometry and Tympanometry. Students who finish the first year in the Audiometry Program will do an internship for 30 working days during the summer term. We can do these internships in different state hospitals, private hospitals or we can do them in different hearing aid sales and application centers. Students who graduate from the Audiometry Program can work in private hospitals or public hospitals. They can work as otolaryngologists and audiologists in newborn units and audiology units. Students who graduate from the audiometry program can take the DGS, which is the Vertical Transfer Examination and continue their education career. Successful students can transfer to the undergraduate level and into the Department of Audiology. Because I chose the Audiometry Program, I do think that I can continue up the academic scale. The biggest factor for me in choosing Cappadocia University is the fact that this university would always appear in all of my research about this field. I learned that this university offers a great education with a lot of private hands-on opportunities. The Audiometry Program is a department that requires more practical training. Cappadocia University’s Vocational College can provide this focus on our training in a very effective way.

While I was talking part in the Audiometry Program, I had many opportunities. Our program has a field in the private sector and our school provides an opportunity to attend different seminars where we can interact with other professionals in the field. At the same time, we are able to communicate directly with experts in this field. We can analyze the field better and we can have many job opportunities through the communication with these types of people. I mentioned Cappadocia University's practical training as well This training gives us a positive contribution to our career goals while working directly in the field and at the same time it ensures that we can be noticed by different employers in this field. Our business opportunities are increasing through these things. I think that by taking advantage of these opportunities it will increase my chances of finding a good job in the future. Those that would like to choose the audiometry program may want to listen to the following advice. Many people consider working in the health industry, but do not want to see blood due to sudden trauma or accidents. These people should not work in the health industry. Audiometry can help you become a health care professional by circumventing these situations. Here are some of my recommendations for people. The academic staff in the Audiometry Program here at the Cappadocia University consists of great experts in this field. We can learn a lot from them because they communicate with us their vital experiential experiences personally from their own fieldwork.
