Preschool Education

Hello, I'm Meryem Merve Ergül. I am studying at Inonu University, Preschool Education Department. I'm going to give you some information about preschool education here today. Preschool Education program is a department aimed at training educators who contribute to the cognitive, social, language, moral and physical development of children between the ages of 0-6. In addition, pre-school education includes goals such as preparing children for primary school and guiding parents on raising children. Preschool Teaching is a department established under the basic education department. During the teaching period, we take program courses, training courses and application-oriented field courses in order to plan the education process. Our application-oriented field courses are drama halls, playgrounds and material design workshops in our faculties such as Drama, Music, Visual Arts, Physical Education, Children's and Museum Education, Children's Literature and Material Design. Our department is located on the central campus of Inonu University. We usually have our courses in The Faculty of Education A, B and C Block classrooms, laboratories and workshops. We continue our application-oriented courses from time to time in the Gymnasium of the School of Physical Education and Sports and in the visual design workshops of the Faculty of Fine Arts. In the 7th and 8th periods, our internship programs are carried out under the name of teacher practice course. During these periods, we go to the kindergartens, where we observe and go to the field under the name of teaching practice. When we graduate, we can work in private kindergartens and kindergartens within the primary school, nurseries, special education and rehabilitation centers under the Ministry of National Education (MEB), and also we can establish our own private kindergartens and nurseries. There is a need for expert, compassionate, conscientious, idealistic educators in the preschool education level that shapes the foundation of future generations and shapes the personality of society. The reason I prefer this department is because of my love for children and my desire to touch children's lives. I chose Inonu University to benefit from the educators who are experts in their fields, who continuously improve themselves. Inonu University has a large green campus and is also a university well developed in terms of social and cultural activities. In addition to being useful to the community and children after graduation, I also want to shine a light on the teacher candidates who will continue the graduate education program. In this context, graduate education programs are actively carried out with an expert staff at Inonu University. If you want a good educator, a good teacher, a good mother, a good father or a good future, you can choose the Department of Preschool Teaching at Inonu University. Remember that children are the future of humankind. It is our human duty to raise today's children as the grownups of tomorrow. It’s a privilege to be a part of İnönü University.
