Radio, Television and Film
I'm Şükrü Dede. I am a 3rd year student in the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema at Inonu University Faculty of Communication. Our department is located on the central campus of Inonu University. Our department has developed itself in the fields of radio, television and cinema in the developing media sector and trains qualified graduates. The courses given in general in our department are divided into two based on practice and practice. At the same time, we have courses from social sciences in our department. During our 4-year undergraduate education, we take basic video applications, tv journalism, radio programming and, among other things, sociology, philosophy and art and aesthetics courses. These lessons broaden both our horizons and our sense of art. We have various application units in our faculty. A few of them are our Radio Campus UNI News Center agency, editing workshop and photography studio. There are no compulsory internships in our faculty, but we are already receiving internship trainings in the units in our faculty. In this way, we are trained equipped without the need for internship training. After graduating from our department, we can work in various institutions and organizations, especially in the radio, television and cinema sectors, public and private. At the same time, we can have opportunities such as master's and doctorate in our faculty. The main reason I chose my department was that it was a fun and enjoyable endeavor. Besides, when I came to this faculty, the phrase I always heard from my teachers was this: friends, cinema is a love business, television is a love job, radio is a love job, and it all goes with love. So, if you love something, you really have to go after it. I'm glad that I’ve come to this department. After I got to the department, I realized I really made the right choice. In our department, we did a lot of good things by doing a radio show and also doing technical things there. When we were in the first grade, we earned a degree in radio program production in the Future Communicators Competition organized by TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Corporation). In the 1st grade, we made a documentary film and received an incentive award for the short film competition organized within our faculty. At the same time, we take part in the short film festival organized by our faculty every year and the Malatya International Film Festival. During these events, we have the opportunity to meet various screenwriters, directors, famous actors and producers. The main reason I chose Inonu University was that it appealed to the student and that it had various social activities. After graduating, I want to progress academically in this field. My advice to students who would prefer radio, television and cinema is this: it is a part that should be really loved and you have the opportunity to progress academically in this department. In addition, you are trained in a beautiful way, which is fun, practical and theoretical. We welcome you to İnonu University Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema. It’s a privilege to be a part of İnönü University.
