Hello everyone, I'm Prof. Dr. Orhan BAT. I am the Head of the Department of Nursing at Istanbul Esenyurt University. Our basic philosophy is to have sufficient knowledge and skills alongside physicians, especially in diagnosis and treatment, and to communicate closely and empathize with patients. Let me tell you the basic courses given in our department. We want our students to have basic knowledge about the nursing department. Of course, we want them to have knowledge about some basic units in nursing as well as in medicine. We plan to teach them the principles of medicine, especially anatomy, microbiology, physiology, pathology, embryology.
Hello, I am Koray ÖZTÜRKCU. I am a 1st year student at Istanbul Esenyurt University, Department of Nursing. I chose the nursing department because it is a profession where I can help people and support them both physically and psychologically in difficult times. In addition, having a wide range of job opportunities was one of the most important reasons for me to choose it. I chose Istanbul Esenyurt University because of its great academic staff, internship opportunities and laboratories with advanced simulation technologies. While studying at the nursing department, I take courses from the experienced and well-equipped staff. I can easily ask the questions that come to my mind to my teachers. The place I spend most of my time at school is our library. Since I can study during exam weeks, borrow books whenever I want, and do digital research, I spend my leisure time in the library. After graduating from the nursing department, I want to work in the clinical field for a certain period of time and gain experience. Also, I want to become a qualified academician by continuing my postgraduate education. The nursing department is one of the occupational groups with the highest professional satisfaction if it is done with pleasure. Since it is a people-oriented profession, we welcome candidates with high levels of dedication, dexterity, communication skills, empathy and crisis management skills. I recommend the candidates who will choose Istanbul Esenyurt University to take advantage of the central location of the school. I wish success to all students who will take the university exam.
