Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department

Hello, I'm Prof. Dr. Mustafa Emre AYDEMIR. I am the Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Istanbul Esenyurt University. Our department provides a 4-year undergraduate education in the field of electrical and electronic engineering. 30% of our education continues with English courses, and 70% with Turkish courses. Before starting their undergraduate courses, our students study English for one year. The courses we offer are the ones that will form the basis of the first year, such as mathematics, physics, and Turkish, but from the second year on, they are the ones that are the beginning of vocational courses, such as the introduction to electrical circuits and basic electronics. In the third and fourth years, students can choose courses such as microwave and microprocessors in the field of electronics or courses on electrical energy such as high energy, energy transmission lines, and electrical machines. Our department has several laboratories, the most important of which are the electrical circuits laboratory, the basic electronics laboratory, and the microprocessors laboratory. Here, our students can examine the subjects they have learned in the theoretical lessons practically. At the same time, they make various applications for computer software in the computer laboratory. They gain experience in software languages such as C, C++, and Python, which are especially popular today. Our students are required by law to complete internships. Since there are many industrial facilities in the Esenyurt region, our students do not have any problems with internships. Our Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department students can participate in ERASMUS programs after they learn a sufficient level of a foreign language, and thus they have the opportunity to study at various world universities. Our department participates in various national and international electronic competitions. These competitions are based on current technologies such as drones and robots. The university administration encourages and supports our students' participation in such national and international organizations. After graduating from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, our students can find employment opportunities in a wide variety of subjects, such as the production and design of electronic devices and the maintenance and marketing of these devices. There are many companies in this sector in our country, and our students never have trouble finding a job. Electrical and electronic engineering has progressed through great stages from the past to the present and continues to develop. We always support our students with various questions and various extracurricular activities. Our biggest expectation from candidates who will choose Electrical and Electronics Engineering is that they come to this department with interest. Our students are much more successful when they come to the department by motivating themselves to work on this subject in the future. Esenyurt is a developed region, and there are various student dormitories belonging to the public and private sectors in this region. Some of these dormitories have agreements with Istanbul Esenyurt University. Our students benefit from these opportunities. I wish the best of luck to our friends who will take the university exam.
