Information about Boys’ Dormitory

Hey there friends, I am Egemen Ulurer. A second year, Political Science and International Relations’ student at Başkent University. I come from Adana, and I have stayed in this dormitory for 3 years. In our dormitory rooms, we have studying desks, fridges and televisions. Our rooms are also spacious, including private bathrooms and toilets. Internet is available 24/7. Our common usable areas include: a restaurant, and a games room that consists of various activities such as billiards, table football (pinball), and PlayStations. We have our own hairdresser, shopping mall, and a health center with its own ambulance. Additionally, we have a night shift nurse to perform first aid in the case of emergencies. We also have our own laundry room. This dormitory provides us with a lot of possibilities, with the restaurant being the facility we benefit from the most. It is open till 11 pm. There, even if “Tabldot” service is not available, you can order from the “A La Carte” service, your order will be ready and delivered in a short time. Other than that, the games room is also open until 11pm, where we can always spend our free time playing billiards with friends. At the same time, our rooms are cleaned every single day. And our trash is taken out every morning at a specific hour between 9 and 11 am. So while we are at school, our rooms and bathrooms are completely cleaned out. So that when we return to our rooms, we find them clean and tidy. We also have a study room, in the lobby of the dormitory for those who seek a change of environment when studying. In addition to that, we have a workshop for those studying Architecture, where they can also study. Besides all that, we share a small lobby with all our male and female friends. For those of you wishing to join us, there is a warm, friendly environment awaiting you. The luxury of living on campus, offers you great advantages. Everyone here comes from different cities, which contributes to forming stronger friendships. Especially among those who stay away from their families, they will be able to form intimate friendships with people in their own rooms or those who are one block away. And since they are always on campus, they spend their break times together, eating, chatting, or playing billiard or table football (pinball), and socializing.
