Innovative Youth Club

Hello friends, I am Ahmet Ali Fazlıoğlu and I am a 4th year student in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Erzurum Technical University. I'm the chairman of the Innovative Youth Society and I will now give you some information about it. Our club was founded in 2013 as a Business Club. Then, in 2015, the concept and the mission were changed and it became the Innovative Youth Club. The reason behind the club's change of name is that it is comprised of 5 committees: the first of these being the Panel and Seminar Committee, the second the Social Responsibility Committee, the third the Project and R&D Committee, the fourth the Culture and Art Committee, and the last being the Sports and Travel Committee. On campus, we generally meet in our club room (which is allocated to us by the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences), in the canteen or in the academic counseling room. There are 500 members in our club, 20 of whom are active. Those who want to be a member of our club can participate in whichever of our committees is appropriate to them. Our main activities throughout the year are training and conferences on entrepreneurship, innovation and personal development. As the Innovative Youth Club, the most comprehensive activity we have undertaken is the Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0 Conference which we realised with Türk Telekom Resource Management and Project Analysis Manager, Dr. Haluk Gökşen. At the end of our conference, students who were going to graduate were given certificates that will enhance their CVs. Even it is not official, in the Innovative Youth Club, there are two types of membership. The first type is general membership. Within the scope of general membership, non-university members may also become members of our club. The other type is active membership, it is compulsory for that member to be an undergraduate or graduate student at Erzurum Technical University in order to take active part in the activities we do and to help us. Being the Chairman of the Board of Innovative Youth Club has enabled me to improve myself in terms of personal development, to become more active in social responsibility projects and to better comply with codes of ethics.
