Hello my name is Dafa Habibi NASUTION. I came from Indonesia, I came here last year in 2016. I am still in the preparation Turkish course. I have been here for less than a year, basically got here last year in October. I came to Turkey with the Turkish government scholarship program. I found their website on the internet, applied for it when I was in my senior year at high school. It was a little hard for me when I first arrived to Turkey, because of the weather difference. I got a lot of information about Baskent university from the internet, my first concern was about the location of the campus, it is a little far from the city centre, but when I came here I found out that the university provides an amazing service for transportation buses around the hour that go between the university and the city centre. To be able to learn and study abroad is a good opportunity for you, it will open a lot of doors for you, give you experience for your life, and that’s why I decided to go out of my comfort zone and come here. It was challenging for me when I first arrived to Turkey, I asked my fellow Indonesian friends about the university, how to reach it and information about it, but I was getting no information, then I discovered that I am the first Indonesian student to attend in the university. I don’t want to be someone unique and special. I hope that I will be someone who gives good influence to the society. The teachers are really helpful and not only in teaching. I got their help on how to complete my documents for the work permit, they helped me to get used to the situation in Ankara. I think Baskent university is a very good university that has the ability to be the best university in Turkey, and also possibly in Europe in the future. I believe that we have a very good level of education. It is very comfortable for me here. I have been to other places in Turkey, but I think Ankara is the best place for students, the people are generous, more friendly towards foreigners. For the students thinking to come to Baskent: do not hesitate, choose Baskent university as your choice. It will widen your world.
