Ufuk Media Community

Hello, my name is Hazal Yılmaz and I am a second-year student in the Faculty of Law at Ufuk University. I am currently an active member of the Ufuk Media Community, which operates in our school. Our Community was established in 2013 with the aim of providing more social opportunities to students and include more students in social activities. There are multiple communities under ‘Ufuk Media’. That's why we don't have a fixed place, but we still have the Ufuk Media room, which we actively use in our school. We try to organise events such as concerts in the Conference Hall as much as we can. As for our member number, we now have 8 societies grouped under the Ufuk Media Community. There are approximately 15 people in each group. We publish newspapers throughout the year; we perform concerts as Ufuk Acoustics; and we try to organise events at festivals. At the same time, we have a Youtube channel and we are trying to publicise the activities of our school. We also have an eSports team. Here, people get the chance to play with other friends who share the same interests on campus. The most comprehensive event we have undertaken this year is our concerts under the umbrella of as Ufuk Acoustics. We have concerts twice a year—one in the first term and the other in the second. We don't have any conditions to become a member. Everyone can join the community according to their interests—our door is open to everyone. The effect this community has had on me was that it made me more proactive and increased my communication with other people in the university. I am happy being here. I wish success to those friends taking the entrance exam. As a university, we ask you to choose us and join in our communities.
