Hello dear students, I am Gülnare Tarkum. I have been working in this company for 25 years. I work as a faculty member in the Piano Department of Trakya University, State Conservatory. In addition to secondary school, high school and undergraduate departments, there are also graduate and art proficiency programs in our school. In other words, students here can find the opportunity to receive education starting from secondary school until proficiency in art. In our department, many courses on piano are offered. These are Instrument lessons, Auxiliary Piano, Piano Transcription, Accompaniment lessons, and Recital Performance Study. There are many study rooms in our school for students to work comfortably. Some also have a grand piano. We also have a concert hall for 60 people. We have 2 grand pianos. Apart from that, we have a large concert hall belonging only to the school, which you can find in very few conservatories in Turkey. This hall is in a separate building for 600 people. Various activities, concerts, recitals and orchestra concerts are held there. Apart from these, there is the Balkan Congress Hall belonging to the university. Our school also uses this place when it is needed. Various activities and orchestral concerts are also held there. Even valuable artists come from abroad and opera performances are made. In order to graduate from our school, students must take the graduation exam. In addition, students can give a recital as an individual study for graduation.
Our school has a student exchange program Erasmus. Successful students can take advantage of this program to study abroad for 1 or 2 terms. The students of our school have the opportunity to participate in various national and international activities here. Various festivals and international competitions are held here. In addition, masterclasses are organized by valuable teachers. Our students have the opportunity to participate in various international competitions and other activities both in Turkey and abroad. Students who graduate from here have a wide range of job options. They can work as lecturers in different conservatories and music departments. Apart from that, music courses, colleges, the numbers of which have increased considerably recently, offer a wide range of job opportunities. Apart from that, well-educated pianists can work as accompaniment or correpetitor, regardless of being affiliated with an official institution. I can give the following advice to our students who will prefer our school: Try to use the time you will spend here as productively as possible; Discipline is required to be successful. Apart from this, you can improve yourself by participating in various events, festivals, competitions and concerts held in our school. Our university offers many good opportunities to our students coming from outside of Edirne. First of all, our campus is very beautiful, spacious, and we have all the facilities to meet all the needs of the students. We have nice, spacious study rooms for them to study. Apart from this, various organizations, festivities and festivals are held in Edirne both related to our school and university.
