Head of the Department of Child Development

I am instructor İlker ÜNLÜ. I am the Head of the Department of Child Development at Istanbul Esenyurt University. Child development department is a department that provides a 4-year educational program under the Faculty of Health Sciences and trains staff who focus on children with developmental problems, apply tests developed for them, and support the education of children by communicating with the family as a result of these tests and ensuring the participation of the family. First year courses of our department are the courses that are common with the faculty of health sciences. Like anatomy, physiology. From the second year, we focus on departmental courses. We provide a child development workshop in our school. In this workshop, applications, materials and toys for child development are produced. Our internships in our department start from the 3rd grade and become the main thing on the 4th grade. Special education centers, kindergartens, private and public hospitals are the institutions we choose for internships. Graduation projects are prepared for the last two semesters in our department. Students who graduate from our department can find employment opportunities in public hospitals, private education institutions, pre-school education institutions, rehabilitation centers, as well as bookstores that print children's books, and universities.
Hello, I am Görkem TOMRUK, a 3rd year student at Istanbul Esenyurt University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Child Development. I chose the child development department because I love children very much and would like to help them, to make them self-confident people. The reason why I chose Istanbul Esenyurt University is because I studied for DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam) for 2 years. Based on my score, I learned that Istanbul Esenyurt University has an experienced staff and I chose this university. We often make use of the workshop of the child development department. Especially our teachers help us a lot. From here, I would like to thank my teacher Hale and my teacher Oğuzhan. During exam periods, we have the chance to study in the library. It makes me happy. After graduation, I want to do a master's degree and continue my career as an academician. First of all, I wish success to students who are studying for the university exam. I would like to say the following to the students who will choose our department. If you want to choose a department about children, let your conscience be your guide.
