Faculty of Medicine
Hello, I am Mehmet Akif EMIR. I am a term 5 student at Yozgat Bozok University.
Our faculty was established in 2007 in Erdoğan Akdağ Campus to train physicians.
In our faculty, we take courses such as histology, physiology, biochemistry, anatomy in the first 3 years, as well as the courses we take in the 4th and 5th years; In addition to major courses such as obstetrics, general surgery, paediatrics, internal medicine, we also have internships such as neurology, radiology, anaesthesia.
We have anatomy, dissection, simulation and microscopy laboratories in our faculty. In our dissection laboratory, we receive our education on cadavers. In the anatomy laboratory, we learn about the human body through life-size human models. Also, we study microbiology in our microscopy laboratories.
As internship, we take our theoretical courses in the 4th and 5th grades and complete our clinical training in the hospital. At the end of each internship, we are subjected to two exams, written and oral.
"After graduating from our department as a general practitioner, we can work in emergency services, community health centres and family health centres.
In addition, by taking the medical speciality exam, we can work as a specialist physician by specialising in any department. "
My childhood dream was to become a doctor. I preferred medical school in order to serve my country better.
I preferred Yozgat Bozok University because it is close to my hometown and because of its interactive education system, we can be in more contact with our faculty members.
I benefit from the library, laboratories and social clubs at the Faculty of Medicine.
After graduating from our faculty, I want to go abroad and specialise in radiology, then return to my country and continue my academic life.
Medical faculty is a department that requires hard work, labour and patience. I recommend the future candidates to come by taking all these into considerations. I wish good luck to my friends who will enter the university exam. We are waiting for you all to Yozgat Bozok University Faculty of Medicine.
