Department of City and Regional Planning
Hello, I am Nisanur ERDOĞAN. I am a 4th year student at Yozgat Bozok University, Department of City and Regional Planning.
Our 4-year bachelor's degree programme evaluates the concept of city and urbanity from social, cultural, democratic, economic and democratic perspectives and ensures that these concepts are transferred to various plans in a sustainable manner.
The department of city and regional planning is divided into 2 separate branches as theoretical and applied courses. Our theoretical courses are urban sociology, urban economics, transport planning, while our applied courses are studio, model and Computer Aided Design.
We have computer labs and workshops in our department. While we take courses on computer-aided design in our computer laboratory, we present the projects we have made in our workshops to our jury professors in line with certain criteria.
In our department, there are two separate mandatory internships, public and private internships. When we successfully complete these internships, we are entitled to graduation.
Our department provides employment in two separate branches, public and private sector. There are opportunities to work in municipalities, various institutions, various ministries, architectural offices, urban transformation and urban design offices.
Since cities are in constant change and transformation, I preferred urban and regional planning because I think it is a profession that can stay up-to-date. However, we have technical trips in our department. Since I like to learn about cities by travelling, it was among my preferences.
I choose Yozgat Bozok University because of its strong academic staff as well as the national and international projects it offers.
After graduating from the city and regional planning department, I want to continue my academic achievements and I want to have a private planning office.
Since cities are in constant change and transformation, I preferred urban and regional planning because I think it is a profession that can stay up-to-date. However, we have technical trips in our department. Since I like to learn about cities by travelling, it was among my preferences. I recommend Yozgat Bozok University and the department of city and regional planning to all who love to solve the relationship between cities and people, who love to design, to choose with peace of mind.
There are computer labs and various workshops in the city and regional planning department. Among these, I benefit the most from the workshops, because we process the data we have obtained during technical trips into various analyses and perform them in these workshops. I wish success to all my friends who will be entering the university exam. We would like to welcome you all to Yozgat Bozok University Department of City and Regional Planning.
