Department of Midwifery

Hello, I am Şifa Nur COŞKUN. I am a student of Midwifery at Yozgat Bozok University.
"Our department is located in the Faculty of Health Sciences. Our faculty is located in Bilal Şahin West Campus.
As a department, our mission is to train midwives who are interested, skilful and ethical in the field of health science, which ensures the protection and development of public health. "
In our midwifery department, there are courses such as basic anatomy, physiology, microbiology and pathology in the first year. In the second year, there are courses such as pregnancy, pregnancy physiology, birth, birth physiology and postnatal care.
In the last year, we see internship as interns during the whole term. There are two laboratories in our department. One of them is the basic principles and skills laboratory. The value is birth skills laboratories. As a department, we go to clinical practice every semester from the second semester of the second year. We also have a total of 30 working days of summer internship at the end of the fourth and sixth semesters.
After graduating from the midwifery department, there are job opportunities in public hospitals, private hospitals, Family Health and Community Health Centres.
I preferred the midwifery department in order to touch human life and women's life or because I know that job opportunities and working areas are quite wide. I preferred Yozgat Bozok University because of its location, because it is the province where I reside, and because it is calm and quiet.
There are external libraries and applied laboratories of our qualified and experienced faculty members that we benefit from our school.
After graduation, my objective is to become a successful midwife who touches the lives of women.
I would recommend the midwifery department to be chosen by people who love this department and love to help people. I wish success to those who will enter the university exam. We are waiting for everyone at Yozgat Bozok University Faculty of Health Sciences.
