Music Department

I’m Onur Dagdeviren. I’m a forth year undergraduate student in the State’s Conservatory in Bashkent University. My department is in Baglija Campus. The purpose of my department is to educate people with artistic perspective, sufficient gear and theoretical information in the field of musical composition. Composition department is mostly filled with composition and theoretic classes. Harmony, counterpoint, history of music and instrument classes like piano. Apart from these, We have lessons towards creativity and perception in art, aimed at setting up for more creativity. Theoretical studies are actully much facilitated by our many studying rooms. Aside from that we have piano rooms, where we can easily find a place to study. Since some of the lessons require listening we have classrooms for listening too. I can say that the technical facilities are pretty good. The essential fields in which we can work after graduation are: film’s music composition is possible, fields that are similar to commercials’ music composition are possible. Similar fields with game’s music composition are possible. apart from that, some people work as freelancers and receive composition support. Other than that, it’s possible to do music tutoring by taking pedagogic training. In general i can say this. One of the nice things that i can say about our school is that our schools always supports us through any events pertinent to our department or school like the young composers festival and composition contests. In such matters we get support from our school. Guys in the proceedings of our video my friend who’s studying in another department is going to briefly mention her experiences during her time in this department in Bashkent University.
My name is Burche Karaca. I’m a forth year student in the State’s Conservatory in Bashkent University. I’m double major student. I’m proceeding with my studies in both majors, Music theory and composition is the first, and piano is the second. As a matter of fact since my childhood i’m internally connected to music. Later on, along with my family’s encouragment i decided to do this work professionally and that’s why i chose it. I started when i was five years old, after that i took my first professional step in the high school of fine arts. Later on i decided to proceed my education in the State’s Conservatory in Bashkent University. If you say why Bashkent University, first of all we work together with ver valuable teachers. Not only in the field of music, they’re preparing us for life. Aside from music we recieve some really profound education. I can say that our education reaches till philosophy. We take wide-scale classes, not only covering music. We have seperate studying rooms from other departments. Of course as of being in the piano department as well i benefit from the pianos too. Aside from that we have a very comprehensive library, and i make use of it. After graduation i will continue with my education toward graduate studies in the State’s Conservatory in Bashkent University where i want to get a master degree. After that i will recieve pedagogical training, and since i’m currently teaching, i want to proceed with tutoring. To be able to study in the State’s Conservatory in Bashkent University we have to pass a competency test. After passing that test our education starts. The candidates who are thinking about this department should be well prepared for this test. As a matter of fact any department they want will have a suitable program in examination terms. After meeting those terms, they can prepare for the test in suitable so that they may proceed with their studies.
