I am Muhammed Mücteba Emre. I am a lecturer at Trakya University, Faculty of Theology, Department of Arabic Language and Rhetoric. My areas of expertise are Arabic language and eloquence and Islamic Law. As Trakya University Faculty of Theology compulsory Arabic preparatory class teaching staff, we provide the ability to read, understand, and translate basic Islamic sources into Turkish in Arabic, which is the foreign language that the student will need during undergraduate education. In addition, we aim to enable the students to express themselves orally and in writing, to communicate socially and culturally in the Arabic language when needed, and to keep up-to-date technology and science in the Arabic language. In this respect, our preparatory class not only prepares for the theology undergraduate education, but also enables our students to increase their professional capacity in the field of employment after graduation. In our preparatory classes, a cascading education path consisting of 4 courses at the beginner, primary, secondary and advanced level is followed. In each course, there is a midterm exam and a final exam. In addition, students' in-class activities and continuity are also monitored in terms of efficiency. In our preparatory classes, Reading-Comprehension, Vocabulary classes, which aim for our students to read and understand the basic Islamic resources, are given as 480 hours in a total of 960 hours of preparatory class education. In addition to these courses, Written Expression, Oral Expression, Hearing-Comprehension and Arabic Language Phonetics courses are offered for a total of 480 hours so that our students can provide adequate communication and follow the current press-broadcast in a foreign language. Apart from the courses mentioned, we also conduct mini-seminars that we organize every fortnight, with the participation of our faculty's professors or from time to time with the participation of academics from outside our faculty and department. There is also a computer laboratory in our department where we teach hearing-comprehension courses. I wish good luck to those who will take the exam. We welcome you all to our faculty.
