Hello, I am I Professor Ferma Lekesizalın. I work as the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences. Our faculty is a very comprehensive faculty, including economics, administrative and social sciences. We have a total of 16 departments such as Psychology, English Language and Literature, History, Business Administration and Management Information Systems. In our faculty, we have professors, associate professors and doctoral lecturers who have national and international academic achievements in their fields, as well as sectoral backgrounds. We have many internship opportunities in our faculty. For this, we have established an Internship Office. In order to facilitate our students, we contact the contracted institutions and provide internship opportunities. Internship is compulsory in our departments. Our Internship Office works very efficiently. Graduation projects are assigned in a course format. In most departments, a graduation project is done in the last year. It is also called the final project. It has a very high credit rating. It is done individually. Together with their professors, students prepare their projects. In line with the internationalization vision of our university, we carry out international student and academic staff exchange programs. These are ERASMUS, Mevlana and Farabi Programs. We especially care about the ERASMUS Program. We have students who go abroad with ERASMUS and study there for 1 or 2 terms. They receive grants for this. ERASMUS Program is highly preferred by our students because we have many English departments. We also have an English Preparatory School. Students who came to the departments from this preparatory school have competent English skills. We attach importance to and encourage these students to study abroad for 1 or 2 semesters with ERASMUS. We also offer Mevlana and Farabi Programs to our students. With these programs, we have the opportunity to send students to the universities either in Turkey or in other parts of the world for a semester or two.
National and international events are organized in our faculty every year. We spread these events throughout the year. We organize events by inviting international and national academics and guests in our conference hall, both online and in-person. Students who graduate from our faculty have the opportunity to work in a wide range of fields, from public to private sector. Since one of the two language of instruction is English in our faculty, we have an English Preparatory School. Students who start the English Preparatory School can improve their English in order to study comfortably in English taught departments. Our instructors help our students when they have difficulties. Students coming to Istanbul Topkapı University from outside the province can reach here very easily due to the location of our university. Because the University is in a very central location on the historical peninsula. It is easily accessible by Marmaray. It is also very close to the metrobus and other public transportation facilities. There are private and state dormitories for students in the surrounding area. Students coming to Istanbul will step into a very happy, peaceful and beautiful education life at Kazlıçeşme Campus. In addition, since Istanbul is a metropolis, it offers students many cultural, scientific and academic opportunities to improve themselves. Getting to know and seeing Istanbul is an education itself.
