Hello, I'm Sena YENİÇERİ. I am a second year student at Pamukkale University, Faculty of Science, Department of Physics. Our department is located on the Kınıklı Campus. The purpose of the foundation of our department is to teach the fundamentals of Physics and Mathematics; to impart knowledge and skills for industry and technology; and to prepare students for postgraduate education. In the first year, basic courses such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are given. Technical courses such as Quantum Physics, Atomic and Molecular Physics, Solid State Physics are given in the third and fourth year. We can also take elective courses according to our interests. There are seven student laboratories and six research laboratories. Our laboratories are equipped with all kinds of equipment to conduct experiments and research. We have a final thesis in our final year. After graduation, we can work as researchers in various public institutions and the private sector. We can also work in the Radiology departments in hospitals, also at computer and IT companies. We can pursue an academic career. We can teach by taking pedagogical formation. The reason why I chose the department is my interest in Physics class in the Department of Opticianry, which I have studied before. My reasons for choosing Pamukkale University; In addition to being located in the province where I live, it is a well-established university and the Faculty of Science, where my department is located, is one of the oldest faculties of the university. At the same time, the ease of transportation is among the reasons for my preference. The limited number of quotas in our department ensures that the classes are more effective and efficient. In addition, the availability of laboratory courses allows us to learn practically the courses we see in theory. I am considering to pursue an academic career after graduation. Candidates who like physics and mathematics and have inquisitive and curious personalities should choose this department. Almost all the places for students are located close to the campus hence there is no need for public transportation. For these and other reasons, you should choose Pamukkale University.
