Automotive Engineering

Hello everyone, my name is Gözde Kılören, I am a third year student at Pamukkale University, Faculty of Technology, Automotive Engineering. The automotive field is a sector where studies are carried out on vehicles that are developed for every medium, apart from the land vehicles we know. It is a department that includes other engineering fields such as Machinery, IT, Software, Electricity and Chemistry. We have theoretical courses in the field of engineering. For example, Strength, Basic Electronics, Differential Equations. We also have courses for Automotive Engineering. We have laboratories and workshops where we take applied courses specific to our technology faculty such as Engine Dynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Alternative Fuel, Powertrain, Fuel Injection and Automotive Design. We have many laboratories and workshops on Powertrains, auto electronics, internal combustion engines test laboratories, basic manufacturing workshops. There are departments where most of the students start working directly after they complete their on-the-job training. We have an expansive internship. We have two types of summer internships. After graduating from the department, you can have the opportunity to work in many places such as Automotive Sales and services, R&D Departments, Production Departments, Design Departments. As we know, the automotive industry is a developing industry that is needed, and as a result of this, I chose Automotive Engineering. The reason why I chose Pamukkale University is that it is great in terms of social and cultural activities it provides. In terms of education, I chose it because we have an academic staff that focuses on many different fields. While studying this department, I benefit the most from our laboratories and workshops, where applied courses specific to our faculty are taught. After graduating from automotive engineering, I want to work as a specialist engineer in global automotive companies. I want to take part in global projects. I also want to pursue postgraduate education while working. I recommend the candidates who are new to this department to properly focus on their courses. I recommend them to learn about the department before they come, to be sure that they like the subjects.
