Our department, which admitted its first students in the 2019-2020 academic year, trains healthcare managers who have in-depth knowledge, are qualified, have strong communication skills with both healthcare professionals and patients, individuals who can think strategically, have a vision, problem-solving skills, and adopt ethical and moral values. Our department aims to train qualified healthcare managers who are culturally and scientifically equipped, embrace social responsibility activities for the benefit of society, and prioritize scientific, cultural, and social life.In addition to compulsory courses such as business, accounting, microeconomics, macroeconomics, law, medical terminology, human resources management in healthcare institutions, scientific research methods, public health, medical documentation, health economics, financial management in healthcare institutions, cost accounting in healthcare institutions, biostatistics, marketing management, logistics management, health policy and planning, quality management, and information systems, elective courses such as patient safety, first aid, problem-solving skills in health management, and career management are also offered in our department. Practical courses such as biostatistics and first aid, which are taught in the Department of Health Management, are conducted in laboratory settings.Through the professional application course in healthcare management offered in our curriculum, our students have the opportunity to apply their professional training in the field. In this course, which is taken in the 8th semester, our students can practice for three days a week in the Provincial Health Directorate, primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare institutions or private healthcare institutions. Our students also have the opportunity to study abroad as part of the ERASMUS program, which our university is a part of. Within the framework of the ERASMUS program, our students can study abroad in various universities in countries such as Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia, thanks to the 133 bilateral agreements signed as a part of the ERASMUS program.
Graduates of our Health Management department have various job opportunities in both public and private hospitals, voluntary organizations, pharmaceutical companies, medical equipment and supplies businesses, and private health insurance companies. They can also work as inspectors and specialists in public institutions such as the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. However, our students may face some difficulties in numerical-oriented courses, but we constantly update and edit the courses to meet the current and emerging needs. As the field of health management is rapidly evolving, candidates who are open to development, interested in research and reading, should consider choosing this department. Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University provides many opportunities for both Turkish and foreign students. The university has laboratory facilities, a library, and an information center to support students' academic development. Exchange programs such as Mevlana, Farabi, ERASMUS, and TÖMER courses offer various opportunities to students. The campus also has a large green area and a sports complex where students can socialize. Our department has close cooperation with both Bilecik Provincial Health Directorate and Bilecik Training and Research Hospital, providing our students with many conveniences and opportunities. Bilecik Training and Research Hospital's proximity to our university allows students to visit the application areas while attending the theoretical courses and to hold symposiums with experts in their fields. If you want to take advantage of these opportunities, we invite you to choose Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Health Management. We wish success to all candidates who will take the university entrance exam.
