Our faculty provides exceptional educational resources, including lecture halls, student laboratories, clinical skills laboratories, anatomy and other essential medical laboratories, computer laboratories, and classrooms. The central library building, located on the same campus, is a modern, smart, and inclusive facility covering 28,000 square meters, designed to operate 24/7, accommodating up to one million volumes and three thousand individuals simultaneously. Within Istanbul Medeniyet University Faculty of Medicine and our hospital, specialization education and training are conducted across 46 major and minor fields, adhering to rigorous standards and specific regulations. Our students actively engage in scientific, social activities, and projects through the student clubs they have established. At Istanbul Medeniyet University Faculty of Medicine, we have developed a student-centered program that integrates horizontally and vertically based on organ systems during the preclinical period. This program takes into account the core education program and addresses the health issues prevalent in our country. During the preclinical period, we have implemented active learning methods for basic and clinical sciences, such as case-based learning (VBL). Our medical faculty emphasizes a student-centered approach, which includes clinical skills laboratories, practical medical training, community-oriented medical course boards, and community-oriented educational goals. In the fourth and fifth semester internship years, there is a focus on clinical sciences with horizontal and vertical integration. Additionally, elective courses are available in each semester, allowing students to delve deeper into topics aligned with their interests and tendencies. Our faculty education program provides elective courses throughout the preclinical, clinical, and internship periods, enabling students to conduct in-depth studies. We have also allocated independent study hours for students to achieve their program goals, prepare for exams and assessments, and dedicate time to their social and academic pursuits. Furthermore, we offer opportunities for our medical faculty students to study abroad through ERASMUS and exchange programs. The research conducted by our students, in collaboration with their advisors, as part of scientific committees, has fostered a culture of project development, enhanced their critical thinking skills, and deepened their understanding of society, patients, and diseases. As a result of these scientific endeavors, we organize an annual student congress, supported by our dean's office, where students present their research findings. Our primary focus in the education and training we provide is to nurture our students into compassionate individuals and competent physicians. We regularly hold meetings with our students to guide them on effective study techniques and exam preparation. We also value feedback from both students and faculty, allowing us to continually support and mentor our students.
