Hi, I'm the director of Inonu University Press. The University Press was established at the end of July 2017. Currently, university presses are number one among publishers. Since the University Press was founded, the number of printed books has exceeded 100. What do we do for you? We have significant support, especially in health sciences. We have textbooks, internship books, and these books are no ordinary books. Internship books are valuable because they are books written by the professors here. In this way, we provide you course resources. Other than that, there are video frames in these books. When you read the video frame codes, you go directly to the video on YouTube. Those videos are the videos we made and are now being watched in Turkey. For example, if our student numbers are 1500 and 2000, those videos have been viewed in amounts such as 3000, 5000, 500000, 1 million. In short, we prepare educational materials that are very valuable to you such as books and videos. The majority of our books are books that have no precedent in Turkey. For example, there's only one book where we collect all the physical examinations in medicine. This book has no precedent in Turkey or even in the world. This book is very thin, but it's very high in value, we have books like this. We have videos that can replace lectures and lecture notes. What else do we have to offer you? We've turned some of these books into audiobooks. For the first time in Turkey, we have turned storybooks about the diseases into audiobooks in Malatya. What else do we do for your convenience? The average prices of our books are around 30 liras. These books are also available on the market, but they sell for twice as much, three times as much. So, the prices of the books are very reasonable right now. You can also buy books with a pos machine; Such convenience has come. Where can you buy books? We can buy our books at the University Press. Besides, we have a fixed selling point at the Medical School. We have a newly opened place inside the university, and there's a book outlet underneath. We also have two sales points at Esenlik Market in Malatya. You can pick up our books there.
What else do we do for you? Three of our books were published in English. These books are about the field of health, Aslantepe and Lausanne. Half of our book on Hippocrates is in English and half in Turkish. I think these are valuable resources for you. There is a code application in our 2 books called Basic Application Skills in Medicine and Physical Examination Guide in Medicine. In the QR code app, when you scan the code with the phone, you get the video directly on YouTube. Here are mostly videos that we make. We also put videos that are ready on YouTube. As the Faculty of Medicine, we have over 100 videos and their ratings are significantly higher. There are videos with ratings exceeding 1m. Videos have various views such as 500,000, 300,000, 30,000, 40,000. These rates are much higher than the number of Medical Faculty students. Because we have about 2,000 students in the Medical Faculty. You can access videos with QR code applications. You can also watch videos gradually. For example, if you want to use it you can gradually monitor the practice of intravenous blood draw. You can learn within 5 minutes in terms of ease of learning. You can reinforce it by watching the video again, which will really contribute to you. In addition, we have launched a Suspended Book program at the Youth Center. More than 3,000 liras were donated to the Youth Center. Students who need financial assistance can get books from there for free. In addition, we have source books. These are not resource books, textbooks, but books that do not have health-related examples throughout Turkey. For example, we have a book called Surgical Pediatrics that has no precedent in Turkey. We have a book called Patient Safety and Risk Management. These books are not written by Inonu University, but are written by authors throughout Turkey. Our textbooks are written by the professors here and are very valuable to our students in this respect. Our source books are valuable for Turkey.
