Since Inonu university has established 4 parts so far, it has established many campuses. Thus, it is a maternal university. Inonu University is a university that already has a very large main campus of 7 thousand acres. The big part of this is in the forest area. Our university, which has been established in the forest area where the management of our university, academic, administrative staff and students have grown up for nearly 50 years. Inonu University campus is not only one of the most beautiful campuses of our country, but also one of the most beautiful campuses in the world. The best measure of this is that it is at the forefront of the world green campus rankings that are ranked in the UI Green Metric rankings. Green campus evaluates university campuses by taking many factors into account. It evaluates not only the environmental beauties, but also with its energy usage in general. In addition, waste management is based on very important parameters such as management and training in all areas of the environment and harmonization of human resources with the environment. Inonu University’s campus is always in the top leagues in the world in all these parameters. Our campus is one of the most beautiful campuses in our country with its green nature, walking and cycling paths. Our students and employees have the opportunity to walk through the campus and commute by bicycle between the faculties, educational units, our hospital and the management units of our university. Although our basic logic on the university campus is the least vehicles possible, we attach great importance to electric vehicles. For this reason, our university campus is provided with a new generation of eco-friendly buses that work entirely with electricity, which we call a 25-meter trambus. We have perhaps the richest sports facilities in our country on the campus of our university. On our campus, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, climbing walls, also indoor football, volleyball, basketball courts and tennis court, indoor sports courts, walking areas, the courts that we will use in both normal transportation and cycling training are available in the most beautiful and adequate way. I want to make it clear that we are one of the most ambitious universities in our country. Our university is integrated with the city. In terms of university-city cooperation, public institutions, non-governmental organizations, social activities organizations and faculties and units, our university is active in strong cooperation. Our student communities operate in many areas of the city. In other words, our students are not only actively engaged in social activities on the university campus, but also doing good work in different areas of our city with their institutions. For example, our students of the Department of Landscape Architecture propose landscape architecture projects of almost all parks of the city to municipalities by drawing numerous projects with different alternatives. We do fairs with municipalities. Our Department of Landscape Architecture students draw alternative landscape architecture projects in all parks in the city. Our Music Department performs a lot of concerts in the city during the year. There are many social, cultural and artistic activities in our university. Music lovers and art lovers of the city are sure to participate in these programs. Our university offers its own knowledge and organizational ability to the development of our city. Our university has made a very important contribution to the development of the city since its establishment. It made an important contribution to tourism. It will continue to do so. Perhaps I should also emphasize that İnonu University also makes a very important contribution to the economy of our city. It also contributes very importantly to the revival of the economy through shopping and trade in our city. In this respect, I would say that one of the most important elements of our city is our university.
