Alevism Research Institute

I am currently a graduate student at İnonu University Institute of Alevism Studies. Our institute is the first institute in Turkey which has Alevism in its title. Alevism Research Institute is the first in Turkey. Master's and doctoral programs are carried out in our body. It is an institute that has really good opportunities for our esteemed researchers, who want to work in this field, as it is the first in Turkey. Within our institute, we carry out various kinds of research on the subject of Alevism. We organize excursions. We are examining ancient sources, whether in Ottoman, Persian or Arabic, especially regarding Alevis. In addition, we make visits to the regions where Alevis lived from ancient times to the present day. We go to Djemevis where we get better, more vivid information. We visit historical sites especially related to Alevism. We're getting information about these places from the people who live there. We're also doing research on historical documents there. Our university has a large library. We do all kinds of research in the library. In addition, our university provides facilities such as car allocation and equipment support for our trips and visits to historical sites. In addition, we invite professors who have done studies on Alevism research from other universities. For this reason, our university steps in and allows them to be brought in. Our institute gives us various seminars and conferences. International studies are carried out intensively in our university and professors from various countries are invited. As an institute, we are now participating in those studies. We're taking advantage of them, and we're thinking about taking it further. Since our institute is a first, professors from foreign countries are also showing great interest. They're contacting us, they want to get information from us, they want to talk to us. They're even inviting us, and we're discussing these events at the moment. The bottom line is we're thinking about doing better. Because they're interested in it, too. They want to come here. We want to go, too. Obviously, we are thinking of doing more intensive work on an international basis. When I was studying for a bachelor's degree, I was interested in Alevism. While studying Turkish Language and Literature, we were working on topics such as Alevism, Ehlibeyt and Islamic history, and therefore I had a curiosity that came from here because we were scanning old sources. Then when I heard that such an institute had been established in Turkey, I started to investigate. I really thought this institute would offer me the subjects that I was curious about. That's why I chose this place. I also knew Inonu University because I had a master's degree from Inonu University. I chose this university because I knew it was satisfactory in terms of the necessary infrastructure, library resources, international studies and the competence of professors. Our institute is a multidisciplinary institute. Therefore, you can come not only from social sciences, but also from numerical and verbal departments such as science, mathematics, sociology, physics. If you are interested in this field, you can easily conduct your researchs. In addition, Malatya is a city located on the transit route in the central part of Turkey. We have a large campus and all kinds of facilities on campus. Our university offers all kinds of opportunities to valuable researchers who want to be a part of here. Our institute is also working hard at this point. We are conducting extensive national and international studies at the Institute of Alevism Studies, which has been opened within Inonu University, and we intend to do more. Therefore, we welcome everyone who wants to pursue master's and doctorate, who wants to work in this field, who wants to progress in this field, to our institute.
