Social Sciences Institute

Hello, my name is Hüseyin Güvenoğlu. I am a PhD lecturer at Bandirma Onyedi Eylul University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics. I also work as the assistant director of the Social Sciences Institute. The Institute was established in 2016. However, our institute, like other institutes in our university, has an experience of approximately 30 years with its educational background, beginning at Balıkesir University. The aim of the Social Sciences Institute is to carry out scientific research, application, education in the field of social sciences, to produce projects, and to support national and international projects. In this regard, studies are carried out to increase the quality and quantity of faculty members in doctoral, graduate programs, and departments in our institute. There are 1095 students registered in these programs. In addition, 196 students from 29 different countries are enrolled in our programs. Within our institute, there are more than 100 well-known and experienced faculty members. In addition, our institute, which provides 32 programs, has graduated over 100 students since the day it was founded. At our institute, theoretical and empirical issues are researched on a national and international scale in 15 branches of social sciences. There are 6 doctorate programs, 18 master's programs with thesis, one of which is in English, and 8 non-thesis master's programs. In total, we continue our studies with 32 programs within our institute. We are in cooperation with 26 universities from 9 different countries within the scope of ERASMUS Exchange Program and with 39 universities from 21 different countries within the scope of Mevlana Exchange Program. In addition, the education activities are carried out by the faculty members of the departments within the body of our institute.
In our Institute, events such as International Symposiums, Conferences and Biennials are held in cooperation with international stakeholders on the subjects of interest. Our Institute has a protocol agreement with Bandırma 6th Main Jet Airborne Command. In addition, representatives of various Public Institutions and private sector organizations such as Bandırma Employment Agency, Bandırma District Directorate of National Education, Bandırma District Tax Office, Bandırma City Council, Bantaş Inc., Baştaş Group, and Bandırma Educators Cooperative constitute the advisory board of our Institute. Postgraduate student admissions are made in accordance with the legislation of the higher education institution and our university. The main objectives of students are to pursue an academic career and to make career planning for the private and public sectors they work in. We aim to increase the number of our international partners part of the Erasmus and Mevlana student exchange programs. In addition, necessary preparations are made for the opening of new programs and distance education programs. I invite everyone whose ideals we share. We will be happy to see you with us.
