Hello, I'm Hazal AYCAN. I am a senior student at Pamukkale University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Public Relations and Publicity. Our faculty consists of people who have professional communication skills, feel responsible for the events in the world, and are creative decision makers. Our department is located in Pamukkale University Kınıklı Campus. We have courses such as Communication, Advertising, Public Relations, Media, and Marketing. In addition, we also have courses in social fields such as Sociology, Psychology, Arts, and Aesthetics. These are the courses that will change your perspective in these fields. Our university has a corporate communication coordinator, it is active. In order to see the flow of business life in a professional way, we can work there. This is an advantage for us. The work we do in the coordinatorship is carried out in parallel with the work flow the real-life. Students in our department can work with our advisors and take an active role. In our department, there is a two-term optional internship program in summer. At the same time, we have the opportunity to do internships in corporate communication coordination. We prepare projects in a competition format, not like a thesis. We create two projects: first, advertising projects and then cycle public relations projects. We present these projects to the jury, which consists of our professors. Since this is more of a competition format project, it is like a work-oriented rehearsal. There is also an optional double major program in the department. Anyone who wishes has the opportunity to do a double major. You can work in the field of media and communication at PR departments, private media and advertising agencies, and public institutions. I chose this department because I am interested in communication theory and curious about world problems. I thought studying here would provide me a wide range of professional opportunities and a wide-angle perspective in the changing communication world. I am from Denizli, so I knew about the qualities of the university. I researched the academic staff, I was impressed. These factors led me here. I can get ideas about the sector or any subject I want by consulting our instructors. I think this is a very valuable thing as a Communication faculty student. I want to do a master's degree after graduation. I want to continue in academia. Besides academia, I want to work as a content producer or copywriter in media agencies. Here is my advice to the candidates who are considerin to attend: don't be afraid to communicate, be more curious, follow all the events in the world, follow the developments in the sector, love to produce new ideas, establish all kinds of relations with the media, develop creative ideas and, most importantly, be inquisitive. I recommend Pamukkale University, which is an integrated and well-established university, to all candidates. I wish success to the candidates who will take the university exam.
