Department of Insurance and Risk Management

My name is Şeyda Fidan. I am a junior at Baskent University, department of Insurance and Risk Management. Baskent University offers a good quality education with the experienced teachers who worked in a risk management sector. Our general compulsory courses are Statistics, Financial management, Law, Commercial Law and Law of Obligations. There will be one month long summer internship in the end of the second semester of third grade. After that there will be 3 months long internship at the end of fourth grade. This is how we are going to enter the sector. Insurance and Risk Management sector offers wide job opportunities for those who studying this department as this sector is dveloping so fast nowadays. And when we will enter the sector, we will be able to find a job easily. I have to point out one thing. Our teachers really are focused on their students. And those applicants who are about chose our department should be close to scalar sciences. My name is Eren Deniz Kahraman. I am a senior at Baskent University, department of Insurance and Risk Management. I have never heard of such department befor my high school graduation exams. I first saw it right before applying. Actualy I wasn't thinking of applying here but after talking to some people I know and researching the insurance sectore I've decided to try. I knew this university is one of the best private universities in Ankara and Turkey. And I always dreamed of studying in Ankara. And didn't wan't to lose such a chance. I benefit the most from the great academic staff and education quality. Our teachers have great experiences in both - sector and educational background. Besides that there is a library and many different social communities, especially the radio community really got my attention when I first came here. I joined them. There are also dance and music communities, we are having joyous life on campus. I think of becoming an academician after the graduation. Of course I am thinking of working in the broker companies in Turkey and abroad, but my first goal is acadmic career. Baskent University is one of the best schools in country. You shouldn't miss a chance of studying here. At the same tme insurance is a profession of the future. It is efficient world-wide. Even in Turkey it started to come to the right place it deserves. I higly recommend this department and sector.
