About Social Facilities and Campus Life

Hello, my name is Ahmet Enes Gokler and I am nineteen years old. I study at the Social Sciences University of Ankara. The university has one campus, which is in Ulus at the heart of the city. The Social Sciences University of Ankara has large gardens by the preparatory building which has a wide area where students can sit and chat comfortably. Moreover, due to the fact that the transportation is easy the center we can sit and chat with our friends and till the late hours in the library of our school. The main reason for this is of course the convenient transportation. There are many clubs in the university, because it’s the social university oriented around social research. It attaches importance to the students being social. The university shows a lot of support to these clubs. We have a self access center here, a library facility where we can work on our English. There are teachers and students from the department who help us, in terms of our English. It’s a great place where we can easily get help and find support whenever we have things we don’t understand. In addition, when we give a break from our studies we have a nice area where we can drink tea and coffee in the café located near the garden. Apart from that, the school has a library with a wide range of books, which we can use in the best way and meet our every need.
Due to the fact that our university is a social university as I mentioned before, student’s social activities are given great importance. This is why the Spring festivities are really nice and a great fun. Apart from that continuous conferences are held at the university, famous former ambassadors and well known professors give conferences. This greatly benefits our knowledge. As our university is located in the heart of the city, as I have said, transportation is really easy. This is why we don’t waste a great part of our time on the road, and we have a lot of time left to ourselves. Accordingly, we can organize our social life in a great way. In addition since the university is founded on the Social Science and the only university like this in Turkey, it places such importance on this, so when the graduate from this university, I think we will be in a good place and we can achieve great things. Social Sciences University of Ankara is a university that will help to shape our futures. I repeat this fact because it is a university based on the Social Sciences, it will have a major turns and contributions for us. Whether it be our professors and administrative staff, they are all great help to us, providing support. They do not spare their support in any way. On the contrary they say to us “Dear students, come to us and with an idea, or a project and we will help you however we can.” This motivates us to do something. This is why it is preparing so well for the future and that is why I love this university. I wish every success to all prospective students, I hope they continue their work without giving up.
