Hello, I'm Havanur Aytac. I am a lecturer at Social Sciences University of Ankara, International Office. In our office, we mainly carry out international student applications, exchange programs such as Erasmus, and national and international university collaborations. International student applications are handled through our office. The evaluation part is made by an international student admissions committee formed by the faculty members of our university. For undergraduate applications, transcripts and diplomas are compulsory. However, if there are international exam results such as the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or national exam results such as YÖS, we ask them to attach these results to their application documents. Our commission will take these into consideration when making an evaluation. Although there is no YÖS organized by our university, we accept the YÖS results of other universities. Our application conditions and system are exactly the same for our Northern Cyprus unit. In our graduate programs, diplomas and transcripts are mandatory documents. Letters of intent, letters of reference and foreign language documents are also required. In addition, it will be an advantage for our candidates to upload all national or international test scores they have. If our candidates have a scholarship, it is advantageous if they indicate them as well. Our candidates can access the application link on our ASBU international office website. It will be enough for them to make a choice by creating an account here, filling in the necessary information, and uploading their documents. A positive or negative feedback will be provided to our candidates via e-mail after the application results. No fee is charged for our applications. If our students who are enrolled in our programs where the language of instruction is English, do not have prior English knowledge, our school also offers English preparatory education for one year. Likewise, if our students who are enrolled in programs where the language of instruction is Turkish, do not know Turkish, they can benefit from our Turkish courses offered by ASBU Tömer with a student discount. In addition to English and Turkish, language courses are offered in 10 different languages ​​as elective courses at our university. Our university provides its students, academic and administrative staff with the opportunity to benefit from many exchange programs such as Erasmus. Candidates who want to take advantage of these opportunities should apply to the international office. Our students can go to many European countries for education and internship opportunities within the scope of Erasmus. In order for our students to benefit from these programs with grants, they must first have a good grade point average. Therefore, students must have completed at least the first year before applying for Erasmus. Within the scope of the evaluations, fifty percent of the students' grade point averages and fifty percent of the Erasmus language exam results are taken into evaluation. In this way, candidates who qualify for participation in Erasmus with or without a grant are determined. Our university has agreements with many European countries such as Germany, Italy and Czechia within the scope of Erasmus KA 103. Likewise, our university has signed many agreements with universities in Asia, North Africa and Eastern Europe within the scope of Erasmus KA.
