When I was still in high school, I set the Department of International Relations as an academic goal for myself. I completed my undergraduate and graduate education in this direction. I continue my doctoral education in the same field. As a career goal, I aim to work in the higher education sector. Therefore, I continue my work in this sense. Later on, I want to work at a university in the higher education sector as long as there are opportunities to do so. If you ask why I chose the Social Sciences University of Ankara, the academic staff is very strong here. It has a curriculum that can compete with the world's leading universities. Also, since I follow the university closely, I know that when the Social Sciences University of Ankara was founded in 2013, its goal was to be an institution that provides only graduate education. Currently, it provides undergraduate and graduate education together. We can say that postgraduate education is the first priority of the Social Sciences University of Ankara. Considering the student population and the number of programs, a special emphasis is placed on postgraduate education in order to achieve this goal. The establishment of the university started with 5 institutes. Therefore, it is a situation that gives importance to postgraduate education. This is an institution with qualified academics and an institution with a high-quality curriculum. For these reasons, I preferred the Social Sciences University of Ankara. The university provides us with different opportunities during the time we spend in the program. These are the opportunities you can encounter in many universities. Some have become a standard. My favorite one here at Social Sciences University of Ankara is providing an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary perspective. Such a principle has been adopted in the design of courses and curricula, and there is a system that paves the way for taking courses from different branches. Apart from that, you can communicate with academics very easily. There is an academic culture at the university where different departments can come together and discuss academic issues. These are the most attractive aspects of this university and the program. My primary goal after graduation is to continue in academia. This is not just a process that ends with graduation. Currently, I am doing my research and publication studies simultaneously with my doctoral studies. I hope to continue my studies as an academician at the university. Postgraduate education is not a compulsory education, so there should be a special interest in the program. Mostly, candidates are students who have set out on this path. My advice to candidates who will prefer Social Sciences University of Ankara is as follows: Before applying to the program, they should research the CVs of the academicians working in the department and look at the courses offered in the department. Because it is very important to have an academician to guide you in graduate education. Therefore, working on the areas that the department focuses on will carry you further. In this context, I recommend that they focus on these issues. I wish good luck to all students who will take the university exam.
