Science and Technology Application and Research Centre (BİLTEM)

Hello, my name is Mustafa ERBAKAN. I am a lecturer at Yozgat Bozok University, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Biosystems Engineering. For the last 3 years, I have been working as the assistant director of our Science and Technology Application and Research Centre.
BİLTEM (Science and Technology Application and Research Centre) was established in 2012 within the scope of the SPO project in a closed area of 3600 square metres. The purpose of the establishment of BİLTEM is to support research and development activities carried out in and around our university, to establish university-industry cooperation and to carry out joint projects with other public institutions and organisations. At BİLTEM, we assist both the members of our university and our stakeholders in the industry in research and development activities, laboratory infrastructure and expert support.
We have summer internship programmes for undergraduate and graduate students at BİLTEM. I think that it is very important for undergraduate students to take part in research and development activities in terms of both academic and professional development. Our university has a high level of awareness in this regard, and especially TÜBİTAK2209 (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) projects, we have many undergraduate students engaged in R&D activities with the support of our unit. We organise BİLTEM Open Door Days to better introduce the device and laboratory infrastructure in BİLTEM to our students. I recommend that all our students benefit from these features offered by our centre.
In our Science and Technology Application and Research Centre, we provide research and development support to TÜBİTAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey), European Union, BAP (Scientific Research Projects) and TEKNOPARK projects of our university and other university members. Similarly, we support routine and research requests from industry. We organise online training meetings on the devices and analysis methods used in our centre. Finally, we carry out the analyses of kidney stone samples from Yozgat Bozok University Research and Application Hospital. I wish success to the candidates who will take the university exam.
