Operating Room Services Programme

Hello, my name is Dicle Arslan and I am a freshman student on the Ufuk University Operating Room Services Programme. This program trains qualified auxiliary surgical members that keep track of developing operating room techniques and carry out tasks such as the preparation of materials and equipment in the operating room, providing the surgical team with materials and preparing the operating room for surgery. Training is provided on the Balgat Campus. In addition to basic medical courses, vocational courses are also offered in our program. Students take courses such as Anatomy, Physiology, Surgical Diseases, Operating Room Technology, Device and Equipment Security, Operating Room Applications, and Infectious Diseases. In addition to basic medical courses, our programme provides endoscopy department courses, blood extraction, and professional medicine courses such as Sterilisation in emergency services—all of which are given in the operating rooms of the Dr. Rıdvan Ege Hospital. In this programme, we have a 30-working day summer internship at the end of the first year. Students can work in any health institution they wish. In addition, when they want to do an internship within the university, they can use the Dr. Rıdvan Ege Hospital. After graduating from our programme, we are able to work in public and private institutions and hospitals. I chose the health sector because it is one which does not carry the risk of being unemployed. I had often heard the name of Ufuk University mentioned. During my research, I learned that it provides a good education and that is why I chose this university. Our building is located right next to our hospital. This way, there are many places to practice and we take ample advantage of them. First of all, I think I will be a good technician when I graduate and I would like to take a position in a private health institution and then move over to the state sector via the Public Personnel Selection Examination. If you think your future is in the field of health and want to get a good education, I suggest you choose Ufuk University. I wish every success to those friends taking the entrance exam.
