Anesthesia Programme
Hello, my name is Zeliha Pınar and I am an Anaesthesia Programme student at Ufuk University. The aim of the programme is to train competent, skilled health technicians equipped with the skills necessary to carry out the safe initiation, maintenance, and termination of anaesthesia of a patient, together with or under the guidance of, an anaesthesiology and reanimation specialist doctor. Our education takes place on the Balgat Campus. Anaesthesia Program students take their own specific courses, such as Anaesthesia Apparatus and Equipment, Clinical Anaesthesia and Reanimation. In our programme there are laboratories which are specific to foundation medical courses. Our vocational practice courses take place at Ufuk University Dr. Rıdvan Ege Hospital in all the surgical operating rooms. An internship is obligatory in our department: at the end of year 1 there is a 30-working day requirement. Our students can do their internships in any health institutions they wish. If they want to do it within our university, they can so at the Dr. Rıdvan Ege Hospital. After graduating from our programme, we can work in health facilities with an operating room. I chose this programme because I am from the Vocational High School of Health, Department of Anaesthesia. Since our building is located right next to our hospital, we can easily take advantage of all kinds of activities. We have transport services between the Balgat and İncek Campus where I can easily benefit from the social facilities and libraries. After graduation, my goal is to start working as an anaesthetic technician. My recommendation to candidates choosing this university is this—if they really want to work in healthcare, they should only choose these programmes if they really believe that they can work selflessly and wholeheartedly. I wish success to those candidates who choose the university and who take the exam.
