Faculty of Open Education of Business Administration

Hello, I'm Associate Professor Didem Paşaoğlu Baş. I am a faculty member and vice dean at the Faculty of Business Administration. I have been working at Anadolu University for about 21 years. I completed my undergraduate degree in the United States. I completed my master's and doctorate degrees at Anadolu University in the field of Management and Organization. Our faculty has founded as a Business Administration undergraduate program within the Open Education Faculty in 1982-83 academic year, and later on, with the restructurings between 1993-94, it has become the Faculty of Business Administration. We have given 1,880,943 graduates since 1985. The purpose of the establishment of our faculty is to bring education to everyone, wherever they are, and to enable them to develop themselves. In other words, we believe in equality of opportunity in education. Our students do not only consist of young people entering the university, but also from those who had the opportunity of formal education but could not complete their education, those who want to both work and study, and those with physical disabilities. In addition to this, we offer a second program opportunity to people who have completed a bachelor's degree over the years and want to study in a different department because they are open to self-development or because they do not think the program they have completed is suitable for them. In our Faculty of Business Administration, we have a total of 5 departments: Business Administration in English, Business Administration in Turkish, Aviation Management, International Trade and Logistics, and finally the Department of Tourism Management. Our students can reach the teaching or training material anytime they want. They can attend live classes, access books or exam answers, whenever or wherever they want. In addition, there are student societies in the system. Even if these communities are online, they provide an environment of student friendship and socialization. They can come together in communities that they are interested in, such as history, photography, language or cinema, discuss their ideas and establish relationships with each other. Anadolu University, founded in 1958, is a well-established university. Anadolu University is a student-friendly university with many faculty members who are experts in their fields, equipped with the necessary technologies. A college degree is a really important factor. However, if our students develop themselves personally and do this with e-certificates or personal development programs, it will make it easier both in the business environment and in other areas of their lives. It is very important for them to develop their foreign language skills. If they want to pursue a master's and doctorate, they must complete those conditions and apply. We wish success to students who will take the exam.
