Hello, I am Prof. Dr. Zafer GÖNÜLALAN. I am the assistant director of Yozgat Bozok University Sorgun Vocational High School.
Sorgun Vocational High School was established in 2011 and admitted its first students in 2013-2014 academic year.
There are 13 associate degree programmes in its establishment. Currently, it continues its education with 7 active associate degree programmes with 708 students. We have a total of 7 associate degree programmes in our associate degree programmes. It consists of computer technologies, construction technologies, rail systems, automotive technologies, opticianship, accounting tax applications, tourism and hotel management departments.
Each of our departments has a minimum of 3 faculty members within the framework of the infrastructure principles regarding education and training taken by the Higher Education Institution. Some of our departments have four or five faculty members. In our 7 departments, we continue our education and training with 25 faculty members and staff.
Each department has application laboratories and theoretical classrooms. At the same time, in accordance with the education and training system applied by our university, our students carry out 1 semester in the form of vocational practice in the workplace related to the profession in the field.
Our students spend one semester completely in workplaces related to their fields due to our 3+1 education and training system; this semester is included in the internship and they have the opportunity to continue their education and training in this way.
Our students have the opportunity to work in many different fields related to their fields after graduation. Our programmes mostly consist of programmes that have wide working areas that appeal to the society. For this reason, most of our graduates are employed. And we continue to maintain our programmes in contact with them.
It can be preferred because the employment capability of the programmes of our school is high, Sorgun district is a student-friendly district, and the theoretical and practical infrastructure of our school is developed.
Yozgat Bozok University is a university that has fully established its educational infrastructure due to its current programmes.

My suggestions to the candidates who will prefer our university and vocational school can easily come here and continue their education and training both in Yozgat and Sorgun due to its student-friendly feature. I can say that it is a university that our students can easily prefer at the point of preference due to its good dormitory capacity, the fact that students have the opportunity to stay comfortably, and that it is not an expensive city.
