ERASMUS Program
Hello, I am Dr. Lecturer Sevil ZENGİN. I have been working as the Head of the International Relations Office and ERASMUS institution coordinator for about 2 years.
Within the scope of ERASMUS Plus, our students can benefit from our contracted universities in Europe within the scope of receiving education or participating in internship mobility. We support our students in this regard.
Our number of agreements is increasing day by day. We have partner agreements with many universities and many countries. Apart from this, we have consortiums. Within the scope of this consortium with some universities in Turkey, we ensure that our students benefit from these extra movements.
Benefiting from this movement is as follows; every year a handbook is published by the national agency within the scope of ERASMUS Plus and we make an advertisement according to this handbook. As of 2023, applications for advertisements, applications for ERASMUS-related staff or student advertisements are made entirely through the online system with E-Devlet passwords.
Apart from the general criteria, our criteria can change every year according to the ERASMUS handbook. Therefore, it is necessary to follow the announcements carefully and read the conditions of the announcements well.
Our students primarily prefer contracted universities to benefit from mobility, but some of our students, especially in internship activities, can also contact companies other than contracted universities and sign a contract on mobility and benefit from mobility in this way.
Within the scope of the ERASMUS Plus Exchange Program, a separate grant amount is received for each country. The grant amounts are changed and updated every year in the handbook. The grant here is funded by the European Union by giving students a grant every month in an amount that will cover their living costs, taking into account the living costs of the country there. 80% of these grants are deposited into the students' accounts before they leave and 20% upon their return.
My advice to our university students is that I myself went to an American school in Poland as part of the ERASMUS Program in my undergraduate life. I still use the experiences I had here when I teach today. So, such programs not only improve academic development, but also social and cognitive skills. In this respect, it may be one of the most important steps in your educational life. In addition to the development of academic and cognitive skills, ERASMUS today is also a necessary cultural step. I invite you all to apply for the ERASMUS program. I wish success to all candidates who will take the university entrance exam. We welcome everyone to Yozgat Bozok University.
