Physiotherapy Programme
Hello, my name is Zülal Öztürk and I am a 1st year student in the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Programme. Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Programme deals with motion systems, the musculoskeletal systems, the diagnosis, conservative diagnosis and treatment of patients. In addition, it aims to train medical technicians who can work as medical personnel in institutions with or without beds in order to maximise the existing capacities of people with anatomical or congenital deficiencies and to improve their quality of life. Basic course applications are given in the anatomy and physiology laboratories. Clinical applications are carried out in the Dr. Rıdvan Ege Hospital Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Centre. At the end of year 1, a 30-working day summer internship is undertaken. Within the scope of the internship, students are trained at a well-equipped hospital of their choice. At the same time, students who want to study at the Balgat Campus, can do an internship in the Dr. Rıdvan Ege Hospital. After graduating from our programme, we have the opportunity to work in physical therapy and rehabilitation centres, private hospitals, public hospitals, spa-cure and spa-massage centres. I chose this programme because I enjoy living a healthy life and I want to help others through healthcare. I was also encouraged by the fact that the school is in the centre of Ankara and we are trained by academically competent faculty members. We carry out the practical work for our vocational courses at the Dr. Rıdvan Ege Hospital Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Centre. We are able to work in the libraries on İncek and Balgat Campus. In addition, there is transportation between İncek and Balgat campuses, so all students can benefit from the gyms and swimming pools. My goal after graduation is to enter the Vertical Transfer Exam and become a physiotherapist. If you want to study at a university that has proven itself in the field of education, I would like to welcome you to Ufuk University. I wish every success to those candidates taking the entrance exam.
