Campus Life
I'm Latif Bahadır Altun. I am a senior student in the Computer Engineering Department at Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University. I love engineering, computers, and programming. In addition, I place importance to my social life. I'm interested in playing football. I have an interest in the fields of culture and art. I'm trying to lead my life on this line. Today, I will tell you about the social life and campus life at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University has 7 campuses which are the Esenboğa Central Campus, the July 15 and the National Will campuses in Etlik, the Cinnah Campus, Çubuk Campus, Şereflikoçhisar Campus and the Keçiören Campus in Ovacık. Campus life is not only profession-oriented, it is actually an environment where there are activities related to sports and arts. The presence of various campuses allows students to perform many activities. Indoor and outdoor sports halls, tennis courts, basketball and football fields are available in all our campuses. The university has also a very effectively-used area for conferences. I would like to underline the fact that the large number of campuses allows us to benefit from many libraries. If we talk about the professional field, I am interested in using the laboratories on campus as a student of the Computer Engineering Department. If there are students who will choose an engineering department at our university, they will not have any problems in this regard. Apart from that, I love doing sports activities and I prefer to play football on the astro pitch. Spring festivals, conferences and congresses are organized at our university. Spring festivals are a must for campus life in a university. Apart from these, conferences and congresses are very important for me. I believe that they play an important role in our undergraduate, academic, and professional life. Almost every week, conferences and congresses are held at our university. You can develop yourself by attending conferences of the department and the profession you are interested in.
In fact, the social life of the Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University has added many things to my life. I want to evaluate our university not only in terms of our profession but also socially. We are a university with a wide variety of student clubs. Thanks to these clubs, we can gain the ability to help people and animals and express ourselves in any area we want. In accordance with my personality, I have found many opportunities such as presenting in many congresses and conferences, socializing with others, and helping rural schools. In this sense, you can attend an event almost every week or every month, and this motivates you very much. When evaluated considering all departments of our university, it is one of a few universities in Turkey where medium of instruction is 100% English. It is the 5th state university in Ankara. This is gradually increasing its development. One of the things that I consider important here is our academics. Our academicians are very close to us both academically and in terms of communication. As far as I have seen in my own department and heard from other departments, our academicians are very helpful to us in terms of our professional development. I do not think that the students who prefer this place will have any problems in terms of their professional development. Socially, they will have no problems. Because we have a very nice and beautiful environment where they can do many activities. With our multiple campuses, they will be able to do whatever they want. I wish success to the students who will prefer Ankara Yildirim Beyazıt University. When you come, hopefully we'll do a lot of good things together.
