Hello, I'm Dilshot Rakhmatov, I'm from Uzbekistan. I am currently studying master's degree in International Relations at Ankara Yildirim Beyazıt University. I've been in Ankara for about three years. After studying Turkish for one year at the Language Education Application and Research Center (DYLMER), I started my master's program in International Relations and I’m currently continuing. Since the location of Language Education Application and Research Center is so close to my faculty, I preferred it. Being close to the embassies of many countries and the Turkey's government offices is other advantage of the location of the Language Education Application and Research Center. In short, I chose this institution because it's close to the city center. I did some research before coming to Turkey. For example, Ankara Yildirim Beyazıt University Language Education Application and Research Center offers language education in not only Turkish but also Russian, Arabic and Spanish. When I started studying at the university Language Education Application and Research Center, a very active social life began for me. Because in my class, we had friends from at least 20 or 30 different countries, who are getting undergraduate, master’s, PhDs and even second masters. We used to communicate with them in our common language, Turkish, and we helped each other to overcome legal processes and experiencing culture shock. Our teachers helped to overcome those hard times. As international students, we were having difficulty in communicating about legal processes because we didn’t speak Turkish. In these cases, officials of the Language Education Application and Research Center, even our director, provided us with great support. I think the quality of the education we get at the Language Education Application and Research Center is very high. Because our teachers here have always been friendly to us and told us everything in the easiest way. They taught Turkish by speaking in Turkish from the first lesson to the last lesson; this is very important. Since the first day, our listening and comprehension capabilities have increased sharply. Another feature of the Language Education Application and Research Center is that there are a lot of social activities here. In the first weeks, orientation events are organized. In this scope, we had an Ankara trip and a university tour where our campuses were introduced. That's why, I think the quality of education here is very high. There have been many activities that we participated in together with the Language Education Application and Research Center. A trip to Cappadocia as an example it. We've seen thousands of years-old underground cities and a lot of things that we can't even imagine. We took pictures there. Seeing cultural things and trying new tastes with Language Education Application and Research Center; seeing fairy chimneys and other landscapes, even breathing the air of that environment was very different, and the Language Education Application and Research Center allowed us to get this experience. I recommend the students who want to come to Ankara for education to come to Language Education Application and Research Center after selecting their faculties and departments. Because location of the center is very close to the city center, the capacity is high and the education for international students is more intensive. There are different cultures here altogether. There is opportunity to participate in social activities with many distinguished students who are from different faculties. That's why, I recommend the Language Education Application and Research Center. I’ve been recently working on my thesis. After I finish my thesis, I'd like to apply for a PhD program immediately. Five years later, after I finish my Ph.D. studies, I intend to stay in Turkey if I have different and good business options. I wish success to the international students who will come to Ankara Yildirim Beyazıt University, Language Education Application and Research Center.
