I'm Yousef Mohammed. I am from Jordan. I came to Turkey 1.5 years ago. I was accepted to Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. I'm studying Energy Systems Engineering. The reason I chose Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University was that I was thinking about getting a more advanced education.
I am studying 100% in English at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. There are other opportunities in Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University. There is an Erasmus Program. We can study abroad for one or two semesters. We can study in European countries. I did research on the internet before coming to Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. The department I wanted was Energy Systems Engineering. There are only three universities in Turkey that offer this department. For this reason, I chose Yildirim Beyazit University in Ankara. We are also able to study 100% English. We can learn both Turkish and English at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. There are other languages too. There are many international students here. We can get to know various cultures. When I came to Turkey as a foreign resident I had to get a residence permit for foreign nationals. I went to the Department of Student Affairs. The staff there were very helpful. I'm very pleased right now. After coming to Ankara, I developed myself in many areas. My foreign language skills have improved a lot. I have many friends. I've gotten to know various countries and cultures. There are many clubs in Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University. I joined my favorite club. When I came to Ankara, I noticed something. Ankara is more suitable for students. And people are more sincere in Ankara. Because I was in Istanbul. The cost of living in Istanbul was higher. Transportation was more difficult. I think Ankara is the best choice for students. Before coming to Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University, you need to improve your English and you can be sure that you will never be alone. There are many international students and they will increase. International students are treated very warmly here. Of course, after graduation, I hope I'll do a master's degree. I hope I can continue. There are a lot of scholarship opportunities for international students. I wish success to international students coming to Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University.
