Hello, I am the Director of Istanbul Medeniyet University Continuing Education Application and Research Centre, shortly known as IMÜSEM, Assistant Professor Kaya GÖKTEPE. Istanbul Medeniyet University Continuing Education Application and Research Centre, shortly known as IMUSEM, started its activities in 2012 with the entry into force of the regulation published in the official gazette. İMÜSEM (Continuing Education Application and Research Centre) carries out various education and training activities to carry out training programmes; courses, seminars, certificate programmes and consultancy services. In line with the principle of lifelong learning, İMÜSEM carries out various activities in order to regularly carry out the knowledge, experience and experience gained by the academy with the private sector, public institutions, local governments, non-governmental organisations and various stakeholders and acts in line with this purpose. Since the day it was established, that is, since 2012, it has been carrying out joint projects with public institutions, non-governmental organisations, local governments, public institutions and organisations under the name of seminars, training programmes and certificates consultancy services. Within the framework of these projects, primarily seminars, skill trainings, certificates and training programmes opened abroad have been organised. If we consider seminars within the framework of these programmes, our seminars are organised by our academicians who are experts in a certain subject in order to contribute to the development of human resources needed by public institutions, non-governmental organisations, local governments and stakeholders in line with the demand and to raise awareness. Another field of activity is skills training. Our skill trainings are basically created to contribute to the qualified training of our trainees who want to improve themselves in a certain field of expertise. And people who attend our courses, which take at least 6 hours, are given a certificate of participation. Within the scope of skill trainings, for example, intelligence and mind games, how to write a thesis, creative drama workshop are the trainings we provide. One of the most important ones among our trainings is our certified programmes. Our certified programmes are organised in groups of 4 and 30 people for at least 40 hours. Certificates of participation are given to our trainees who successfully complete the programme. For example, if we take the certificates we have given so far as an example, medical law certificate programme, local governments certificate programme, family counselling certificate programme, basic mediation trainings in legal disputes, basic expert personality trainings and conciliator trainings. As IMÜSEM, we also organise foreign language courses. The language courses we have opened are given in 8 groups as G one G two, A one A two, B one B two and C one C two in accordance with European standards. In addition, U1 and U2 courses are organised for specialised areas. The courses we organise consist of at least 60 hours in groups of 10 and 30 people. Examples of language courses include Proficiency and Istanbul Medeniyet University preparation courses. In addition to these, we also organise courses abroad.
